From the moment that you place your first call to inquire about my services, you will experience a reassuring level of care and concern that introduces you to my style. Most people feel somewhat vulnerable because they are experiencing a crisis or conflict, which has triggered the need for therapeutic intervention. My approach is geared toward reducing and/or stabilizing your stressors so that we can then move on to problem solve the other issues that may be impacting you and your family. My office, as well as my style, is warm and comfortable.

In my practice, we will use the brief model of solution focused psychotherapy, most commonly utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)strategies in treatment. At the conclusion of your first session, we will agree on the course and goals of your treatment.

I welcome involvement of family and/or significant others in your treatment. If you are being seen by other clinicians, we can work together to coordinate your treatment, with your permission. I have a high level of expertise in working with adjustment issues related to chronic illness and disability.”
